Developing Stafford Textile Drawing

This evening I worked on developing my drawing of Stafford into a free-machine embroidery textile drawing. I hadn’t practiced this process for a while so I wasn’t sure how well it would go, but I am pleased with the progress made so far. I drew the picture as a mirror image as I prefer the reverse of a free-machine piece as it creates a different effect with the cotton thread bunching up in a random way.
