Well, what an exciting announcement I have for you all! After 6 years of not selling in public, I have finally got the opportunity to sell my work in public at an evening craft market “under the stars”. The event is called Mercatino Sotto le Stelle run by @little_market_italia and is being held during September. I will have a stall for the last 2 Saturday evenings. They are the 18th and 25th from 18:00 – midnight (or thereabouts), weather permitting of course.

During the last couple of years, while living in Italy, I have been developing my crafting skills and techniques with materials I can use at home. Therefore, I will be selling jewellery in glass and ceramics (as in previous years) as well as textile necklaces. These will be woven and finger knit (a very recent technique I have started to use) as well as a couple of knotted cord necklaces.

Hopefully, I will also be able to make some leather jewellery but these may be on offer only for the second stall. That means that there will be something different to see anyway by attending both evenings!

I will also have string art available ranging in size and theme. These include geometric style patterns, simple imagery, lettering and animal silhouettes. The wall art will appeal to the older and younger generations alike. Some could sit very nicely on a wall of children’s and teenagers’ rooms, as well as adults.

The event will take place outside and at night, which will be a first for me. It has been a while since I have had to display my items altogether, and in the dark this time essentially. I hope I am able to arrange everything and light the space enough. Time will tell I guess… I hope to see you there and I look forward to meeting the general public and my hopefully future clients! Remember that my favourite work is personalised and I prefer to take on commissions. So if you have anything in mind for someone special, please contact me. You can contact me directly by commenting on this post, through Instagram or via email. Until the event, stay well and see you soon!
