I am looking forward to visiting this exhibition again on its tour, this time at Bilston Craft Gallery and taking part in the Bilston Craft Taster Day. There is also a Symposium entitled ‘Pathways to Making – Developing your craft career in an expanded field‘ which I will be attending at the University of Wolverhampton as part of the Made in the Middle events. I am proud to say that my friend Charlotte Clark is one of the exhibitors, along with former University tutor Marcus Steel.
I previously visited the exhibition at mac Birmingham as well as the Accidental Pathways Seminar which was a fantastic event and networking opportunity where I met new artists and some I had previously met at other events which made it all the more memorable and enjoyable. It’s really good to look down a list of artist names exhibiting and see people you know the work of and have also met in person or heard speak about their work. I feel like I am part of the artists community. Details on the Made in the Middle Project and to buy a catalogue, please visit the Craftspace website.
