Tomorrow I set off with my case for the week and promotional materials, into Islington to unload our van from Uni and then set up our exhibition. We will be setting up on Monday and Tuesday then the judges come around on Wednesday with the Press and other VIP’s including galleries. Awards are given at the Private View Evening and then it is party time!
Exhibition opens to the public on Thursday 28th until Saturday 30th June and will be showcasing graduates in the following specialist areas:
– Textiles, Fashion & Accessories
– Contemporary Applied Arts
– Ceramics & Glass
– Jewellery & Precious Metalwork
– One Year On
Universities from across the country will meet here to exhibit the current cutting edge design and craftsmanship displaying their inspiration and hopefully act as a springboard into their futures. I am hoping to get some exposure and make contacts (maybe even sell some work!). I am looking forward to the experience and to make the most of every opportunity.
