I was working in the hot shop today with Simon making glass billets for casting my large dance piece. I decided I wanted a watery vein of colour running through a clear glass piece and so after Simon poured the glass into the metal mould, I sprinkled the copper blue powder onto the glass and then stirred it around with a stick of graphite. They looked great at the time… We’ll see what they look like when they come out of the lehr. I’m so excited to start casting!! Hopefully by the end of this week my test piece mould will be dry enough to put in the kiln and attempt my first ever reservoir cast!
