Helen Brown: Art and Design Mentor – gave me help with my proposals for Major Project and later with Dissertation Proposal
Stuart Garfoot: Major Project – gave me some very helpful and reassuring words of advice and sketched out some of the mould making processes to help me understand them better. I have a very positive tutorial for Major Project today! 🙂
Max: Dissertation – Listened and spoke to me about my dissertation
David Jones: Dissertation – Helping me come up with a research question which I now think will be… “Process or Design: Is making a conceptual activity?”
Activites and things to do:
- Draw and write mind maps for Major Project and Creative Realisation on the theme / topic of Journeys highlighting which strand each module will take
- Complete draft proposal for Creative Realisation
- Sketch out initial ideas and evaluate them against project aims for both making modules
- After discussions with Simon Eccles in the hot glass workshop and Mark Bath in the plaster workshop, I know that my ideas are possible for Major Project but will be a challenge. I need to start mould making to test out ideas. Need to find small feel and big shoes – idea, could use a dolls foot for now for the foot in a shoe kiln cast idea
- Include initial visual and contextual research collected from Robyn Townsend on her “Self Portrait” project featuring her life through shoes
