Following my tutorial yesterday with Rebecca Gouldson, I spent this morning in the metal jewellery workshop. I took my screen printed mirrored sample and used it as a template to recreate the drawing in copper wire. Unfortunately to get the image I want, I have to solder sections together to get the crisp edges and corners as the wire cannot bend without a radius which I don’t want. It needs to be as close to the drawn quality as possible. This means it takes longer as it is fiddly and time consuming work! I had almost finished when I then had to go to a ceramic artist’s lecture.
